Chris Stewart -- Treasurer

Christopher Stewart
A Dallas-area native, Chris is a father, volunteer at Life Church in Midlothian, IT leader with 20+ years experience, and long-time supporter of the University Method of Education. He graduated from Grace Prep, the first UME school, in 2002. The quality instruction afforded by the UME model enabled him to graduate a year early from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas with a degree in Church Ministries. At SAGU, he met his wife and best friend Becky. They have four rambunctious sons and one beautiful daughter who has no problem standing up for herself. The Stewart family began attending the Dallas campus of UME Prep in 2017 when their oldest son entered kindergarten. They are grateful for the parent/teacher partnership and friendships with other amazing families that makes this school so unique.

Chris began building computers and writing software with his father, a local IT consultant, at an early age and has made information technology his vocational ministry. Transitioning from independent consulting into full-time employment with a Fortune 500 property-casualty insurance carrier more than ten years ago, he has served in various capacities and currently leads a team of web developers. He loves his team and their mission to deliver industry-leading digital experiences in a work culture that embraces transparency and innovation. Apart from the demands of home, church, and work, Chris enjoys reading historical non-fiction and leadership literature. He is honored to serve the administration, scholars, and parents of UME Prep. Together with the rest of the board, he looks forward to striving to meet the needs of today, advocating for the parent/teacher partnership at the core of our school identity, and doing his part to ensure UME Prep remains strong for future generations.
