Jolene McVean was born and raised in rural Pennsylvania. At 19 she moved to Texas to attend Christ For the Nations Institute. It was there that she developed a passion to help people on very personal levels. Consequently, she attained a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Dallas Baptist University, Master’s in Counseling from the University of North Texas and state license as a Professional Counselor. After several years working in a variety of mental health settings, she began her own private practice where she currently strives to help people heal, grow, and connect. This also enables her to focus on her greatest passion – raising three precious boys! Highly valuing their need for quality education, her family joined the UME family in 2014 where she’s loved volunteering ever since.
