Misty Stern - Assistant Superintendent

Degrees and Certifications

Misty received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Southern Methodist University, as well as a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington. She holds several State of Texas certifications: EC-12 Principal, EC-6 Generalist, 4-8 ELAR, EC-12 Physical Education, and EC-12 ESL Supplemental. Misty also has a standard level Head of School certification with ACSI.

Educational Experience

Misty has more than 20 years of experience in both the public and private school systems. Misty spent many years in the classroom teaching high school Spanish, middle school ELAR, and ESL. She has taught for Lake Dallas ISD, Carrollton Christian Academy, Fort Worth Christian School, Mansfield ISD and El Centro College. While teaching, Misty also coached volleyball, basketball, softball, and cross country. In her work as a campus leader, Misty served as Director within the charter school districts of Responsive Education Solutions and Legacy Preparatory Charter Academy. She also held the position of Head of School at The Canterbury Episcopal School and Canterbury Collegiate Academy. Misty enjoys supporting teachers, parents and students and looks to make a positive impact in the school community.
