Becky Anthony - Duncanville Campus Principal

Degrees and Certifications

Becky earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Church Ministries with a Specialization in Counseling Psychology from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in 2003. She then earned two Master's degrees from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in 2007 and 2018; one is in Counseling Psychology, and the other is a Master's of Education in School Counseling. Becky holds Texas Educator Certificates in Teaching ELAR 4-8, ESL Supplemental 4-8, and School Counseling EC-12.

 

Educational Experience

Becky has 21 years of experience working with students and families in a variety of settings, including private, public, and charter schools, foster care, psychiatric and school counseling, and youth and children's ministries. She served as an English teacher from 2013-2018, as an assistant principal and principal from 2018-2021, and then as a school counselor from 2021-2024. Becky has been an administrator in a local charter school and understands the need for charter schools as a valuable choice for many students and families today. She has been enthusiastic about cultivating family and school partnerships, implementing social-emotional learning, and equipping and encouraging educators to serve students with excellence. Becky has led many professional development sessions for teachers, facilitated professional learning communities, coordinated response to intervention practices, served on school leadership and crisis response teams, and partnered with families and professionals to advocate for meeting the needs of diverse students from special populations. Becky has a deep love for her students and families, and she believes school should be a safe and positive environment for all. Her passion is building a community where both educators and students feel excited about the learning process and embrace a growth mindset that allows everyone to achieve their highest potential.
