Welcome from the Director of Athletics

Welcome to UME Preparatory Academy Athletics.

At UME Prep, we believe athletics is about much more than wins, losses, championships, and trophies. While we strive for excellence in competition, our greatest purpose is developing young men and women of character who are prepared to lead and serve long after their playing days have ended.

Athletics provides opportunities that cannot always be taught in a classroom. Through practices, competitions, victories, and adversity, our student-athletes learn the value of discipline, perseverance, teamwork, accountability, leadership, humility, and resilience. These lessons shape who they become—not only as athletes, but as future husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, employees, community leaders, and citizens.

Our mission is to develop the whole student-athlete by challenging each individual to pursue excellence in every aspect of life. We believe success is measured not only by championships won, but by the character displayed, the relationships built, and the positive impact our student-athletes have on others.

That same philosophy guides every athletic event we host. We want every coach, official, visiting team, parent, and spectator to leave our campus having experienced something different. We want them to notice our hospitality, our professionalism, our sportsmanship, and the culture we have intentionally built. More importantly, we want them to leave asking, "What makes UME Athletics different?" because they have witnessed a community that genuinely values people, pursues excellence, and represents itself with integrity.

Every administrator, coach, staff member, volunteer, and game worker plays an essential role in creating an environment that reflects the mission and values of UME Preparatory Academy Athletics.
